Larry is married to his life-long friend, companion and sweetheart Therese (Thur-eese). They have now been married for 46 years and have been BLESSED with 4 lovely children, Luke, Lauren, Lorell, & Larissa. He graduated from Christian Associates Seminary in 1979 and was ordained that same year. He has a deep love for the Bible and is committed to teaching it…or singing it, all the days of his life. He has been a musician for many years, continues to write, play guitar and sing as part of his life’s joy and work. He is the recipient of the coveted “Rappers and Break Dancers Over 55 Award.”…Not. He has been the Pastor of this wonderful Church of people committed to the grace work of God: Community Christian Fellowship. It is within the fellowship of this Church and his service as Pastor, that Larry has had an environment to learn and grow in service.
Larry’s background while pastoring the church is extensive and has included serving as the Executive Director of the Ontario/Montclair YMCA, Chaplain of the Ontario Police Department and on staff with former San Bernardino’s County’s 4th District Supervisor, Gary Ovitt
Gary is a native of Ontario, attended local schools and resides in the city of Ontario. He taught high school Social Studies at Chaffey High School for 35 years. In 1969, Gary married his high school sweetheart, Sue Olinger, who worked professionally in sports marketing/sports management while serving the Ontario community in many volunteer capacities. Sue presently serves on the Chaffey Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees. The Ovitt’s have one daughter, Amanda, who is married and lives in Ontario with her husband, Roger Balcombe.
