3rd Advent Candle – Shepherd’s Candle

The third Advent ceremony of the 2026 Christmas season!

The third candle is the Shepherd’s Candle, also known as the Candle of Joy. It represents the great joy announced by the angels to the shepherds on the night Jesus was born. The good news of a Savior was first shared with ordinary shepherds, reminding us that the gift of Christ is for everyone.

As we light this candle, we celebrate the joy of knowing that Jesus has come and that His good news is for all people.
